Dreaming trees, Standing Mountains

Farhad Tavakoli

Opening : 15 Aug 2025

Ending: 25 Aug 2025

Landscapes in flux, collapsing and suspended، emerge from the unexpected assemblage of abstract forms and tilted compositions. In Farhad Tavakoli’s paintings, a granular, unsettled texture gives rise to a new kind of beauty, inviting us to see and think of nature anew. He seeks to depict trees, mountains, waterfalls, and other natural elements within an unfamiliar visual space.

The fragile beauty of these landscapes carries an apocalyptic undertone, alluding to the loss of nature and its components. Moreover, through a semi-abstract approach, a meticulous gaze, and repeated brushstrokes, the artist renders the surface in a way that recalls the intimacy of Persian miniature landscapes without imitating them. It is a new path to express the contemporary concerns of an artist who reflects simultaneously on the splendor of nature and its decay, destruction, and disappearance.
